The noise around AI has gotten louder than the guidance, and almost none of it is written for someone standing on a jobsite with a real problem to solve. So let me give you a straight answer first, and then something that will walk you the rest of the way.
The straight answer: the question isn’t whether you should use these tools. It’s how to use them in a way that fits the work you already do. That’s it. And you can get most of the way there with two simple rules.

Those two rules are the backbone of The Construction AI Field Guide, the first edition of a free practical handbook we’ve just released through Construction AI Lab, an initiative of sudyco®. It was written for exactly the person you described: a construction professional who wants to use AI well—without a computer-science degree, a legal seminar, or a stack of conflicting opinions. It focuses on the tools people are already using in daily work, like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot—the writing-and-thinking tools—not drones, robotics, or scheduling systems. The Two Rules the Whole Guide Rests On
RULE 1
